Jean E. Porter Mowatt
President and CEO
Jean is a communications specialist, with many years of experience in developing and managing new and innovative programs. Her business experience spans 39 years in the cablevision and print media in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick where she received the Omar Girard award for innovation in cable television.
From 1981-85 Jean was a Committee Cordinator and Assistant General Manager of the Jeux Canada Games 85 held in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Jean has led the organization into a school setting creating Care-ed Learning and Smarthouse Tek Inc. |
Sharon A. O’Brien
SC; RN, PG; BSW, RSW; CG Executive Vice-President, Chief Learning Officer
Sharon earned her Registered Nurse diploma from Saint John General Hospital School of Nursing, and her Bachelor of Social Work degree and Certificate in Gerontology from St. Thomas University. She has completed the Instructor Development Program through the NBACC Career College Association. She completed post-graduate studies in Foot Care Management at the Kingston Pedorthic Clinic, and teaching and administration studies at McGill university. Twenty years ago she developed a multi-disiplinary Foot Care Management Course. Her leadership in this field has resulted in her appointment as New Brunswick Advisor to Foot Care Canada. Sharon has consulted health care regions to assess their current practices in Foot Care Management delivery. Sharon is the author and designer of instructor guidelines for the Personal Support Worker Program at Care-Ed Learning, a division of Senior Watch. The Personal Support Worker Program is available at Care-Ed Learning centres in Fredericton, and Saint John, NB. The Personal Support Worker Program is offered through the purchase of a license to any rural community wishing to add the training component to their services and to meet Social Development Standards. |

Paula Whitman
RN, PG, RN Instructor
Paula is a graduate of the Saint John School of Nursing, and has completed advanced studies in Neurological Nursing at the Montreal Neurological Institute, in Cardiological Nursing at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, and in Foot Care through the Kingston Pedorthic Clinic in Kingston, Ontario. Paula holds membership in the New Brunswick Nurses' Association. Paula has completed the Instructor Development Program through the New Brunswick Association of Career Colleges. |
